Wallets & transactions

How wallets relate to trading accounts, manager wallet actions, and reading the transaction ledger.

Wallets vs trading accounts

A wallet is the brokerage-side cash ledger, per currency: it holds a client’s funds before they move onto a trading platform and after they come back off it. A trading account’s balance lives on the platform (MetaTrader/TradeLocker) and is separate.

Money flows: deposit → wallet → transfer to trading account → trade → transfer back to wallet → withdrawal.

Key figures on a trading account: Balance is cash; Equity is balance plus unrealized P&L; Free margin (equity minus locked margin) is the withdrawable figure.

Wallet balances are a true ledger — always live, never a snapshot.

Managing a client’s wallets

Wallet management lives on the client’s profile, Wallets tab, grouped into “Trading wallets” and “Partner wallets” (the commission wallet — USD-only, one per partner).

  • “Create wallet” — provision a wallet in a new currency for the client.
  • “Adjust” — credit or debit the wallet. A category is required (Correction, Bonus, Compensation, or Fee Reversal) plus optional notes, all audit-trailed. The dialog previews the projected available balance, blocks debits beyond the available balance, and asks for an extra confirmation on large adjustments.
  • “Transfer” — move funds from the wallet into one of the client’s trading accounts in the same currency.

Client-to-client transfers are governed by the brokerage-wide “User Transfers” policy toggle in Configure → Payment Providers (off by default).

The transaction ledger

The Transactions page is the brokerage-wide, read-only record of every money movement. Managers see the whole brokerage; traders see only their own.

Transaction types: Deposit, Withdrawal, Transfer (wallet-to-wallet), MetaTrader Transfer (wallet → trading account), MetaTrader Transfer From (trading account → wallet), Commission Withdrawal, Bonus Applied, and Bonus Revoked. Transfers create paired debit/credit rows that reference each other.

Statuses

  • Pending — awaiting completion (or manager review, for withdrawals).
  • Completed — done; for withdrawals on an automated payout rail, this means the provider confirmed the payout.
  • Processing — approved and moving through a payout provider.
  • Returned — the payout was refused after funds were debited, and the money has been credited back to the client’s wallet.
  • Rejected — declined by a manager or refused by the payout provider. (Traders see this as “Failed”; the manager view keeps the distinction.)
  • Failed — did not complete.
  • Expired — a crypto deposit whose payment window closed unpaid. A late payment to the same address revives the deposit automatically.

The ledger is deliberately action-free. To act on a pending withdrawal, use the withdrawal queue; deposit outcomes follow the provider’s confirmation.
